How does the free trial work?
The yearly plan starts with 7 days free if your Apple ID has never had a Nosta trial. You get full access from day one.
Two days before it ends, Nosta gives you a heads-up by notification, if you’ve allowed them. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly plan kicks in and Apple charges the first payment.
Don’t see a trial on the subscription screen? That means your Apple ID has already used it, so the app shows the price straight away.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nosta → Cancel Subscription. It takes effect at the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you keep access until then. During the free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you won’t be charged.
The app can’t cancel for you: Apple only allows it from the system settings.
I got a new iPhone. How do I get my subscription back?
Open Nosta and tap “Restore” at the top of the subscription screen. Use the same Apple ID you bought it with. You won’t be charged again.
I got a new iPhone. Where’s my history?
If your Apple account was linked (Profile tab → Backup), sign back in with the same Apple ID: Nosta brings back your program and history on launch. Your photos come back with Apple’s regular iPhone backup.
If the backup wasn’t linked, your history only lived on the old phone and can’t be recovered. You can link it right now from the Profile tab.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: Profile tab → Delete my account. It erases everything in the app and the copy in your iCloud, and swaps the anonymous usage-stats ID for a new one.
Deleting the app also removes everything it stored on the phone. Heads up: this is permanent. We don’t keep any copy of your data, so there’s nothing we can restore. Your subscription is still handled by Apple, so remember to cancel it in your iPhone’s settings.
I’m not getting reminders
Check that Nosta’s notifications are allowed in Settings → Notifications → Nosta, then that reminders are on in the app (Profile tab → Workouts & reminders). Reminders arrive on the training days you picked, at the time you set.
How do I change the app’s language?
Profile tab → Language. “Automatic” follows your iPhone’s language; you can also pick English, French or Spanish. During sign-up, the flag at the top right does the same thing. Your units, kg or lb, don’t change with the language.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Everything is calculated on your iPhone, so it works in a basement gym just as well as anywhere else. The network is only used to buy the subscription, sync the iCloud copy and send anonymous usage stats, which go out later if you’re offline.
The weights feel too heavy or too light
Answer the question after each set honestly — Easy, Solid, Very hard. That’s what the next workout’s weight is based on. Two or three workouts are usually enough to dial it in.
Low on energy today? Say so before you start: the workout gets up to 15% lighter. You can also fix a set right from the workout screen.
The machine I need is taken
Tap “Machine taken” on the exercise screen. Nosta suggests swaps that hit the same muscles, with the matching weight already worked out.
My shoulder or knee hurts…
Flag it in the Profile tab, in your program settings: the exercises involved are dropped from your next workouts and replaced.
If the pain doesn’t go away, see a health professional. Nosta isn’t a medical tool.
I’ve only got twenty minutes today
Pick “Express · 25 min” on the home screen before you start. The workout is rebuilt to fit the time you have, keeping the moves that matter most.
My workouts don’t show up in the Health app
Check the permission in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Nosta and turn on writing workouts. Nosta only writes finished workouts and never reads any Health data.
